Fire Hydrant Main Diversion.
Hydro Utility Solutions were requested to supply & install 10 Bar pipework to create a Fire Hydrant Diversion due to building works on the site.
The pictures show installation techniques using MDPE underground pipework consisting of three number Fire Hydrants and temporary thrust blocks which were installed to commission the new pipework in the shutdown period provided. These were then cast in concrete to provide a permanent thrust, thus maintaining the pressure and flow. All works were tested upon completion. Groundworks carried out by others.
110mm 16 bar Rising Main which Hydro Utility Solutions Ltd recently installed Phase One of the on-site works. The pictures show the use of welding clamps throughout the electrofusion welding process. As we go through the on-site installation you will see that we have installed a wash out point with a bauer connection should the pipework ever require a tanker connection, this will be encased in a 1500mm concrete chamber for access. The main then leaves this point, eventually to be directionally drilled through the bank and up into the adjoining street to where it will be connected into the gravity sewer system. Upon completion of the Phase Two works an air valve will be installed to the highest point. A 15 bar hydraulic test has been carried out on all the installed pipework before backfilling of trench works.
View Project GalleryHydro Utility Solutions Ltd carries out various service connections, whether they be externally metered, then running the already tested supply pipe into the domestic or commercial property. The use of double check valves to the end of run Fire Hydrant sometimes applies. NB: All clamps have been removed for photographic reasons.

Pictures of our recently installed Fire Hydrant Diversion carried out for a Midlands based Pharmaceutical Company. All works were Data-Log tested by Water Hygiene Solutions before the final cut in to the Cast-Iron main was carried out. The use of clamps were used throughout and flanges/bolts wrapped for protection.
